Renewable Energy Engineer
Seeking engineering professionals with renewable energy experience in solar, wind, or energy systems design roles.
Key requirements:
- Degree in a relevant engineering field
- Minimum 2-3 years of field experience (solar/wind preferred)
- Minimum B1 level in German
Candidates should have relevant academic qualifications and hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Solar PV — design & engineering
- Solar PV — operations & maintenance (O&M)
- Wind energy — onshore
- Wind energy — offshore
- Hydropower
- Battery storage / BESS
- Smart grids / grid integration
- Power-to-X / hydrogen
- Energy efficiency / building retrofit
- Heat pumps / district heating
Additional advantage (nice to have):
Additionally, TERN will also support job placement for other engineers you may come across with B1 level German or above, across the following sectors:

- Experience applying international or European technical standards on projects, including:
- IEC 61400 (wind turbines)
- IEC 62446 (solar PV)
- IEC 61850 (grid communication)
- ISO 50001 (energy management)
- ASME (pressure vessels)
- API (oil & gas)
- Eurocodes (structural)
- ISO 9001 / 14001
