JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: 
In charge of all financial & management accounting as well as budget process at Sugar Estate, including role as super-user on finance systems.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
  1. Prepare monthly management and quarterly statutory accounts
  2. Prepare yearly final figures to be submitted to auditors and coordinate year end external audit of all entities under the Sugar Estate
  3. Organizing and coordinating all internal audits within the finance department
  4. Prepare and coordinate all budget cycles
  5. Act as super user of finance systems (reporting, budgeting and ERP) ensuring system health and optimum usage by other users, including development or improvements of finance systems.
  6. Ensure daily smooth running of all activities of the department/section
  7. Ensure strong financial management oversight through regular monitoring and improvement of internal finance controls. 
  8. Responsibility of cash and balance sheet management in conjunction with FIEO. 
  9. Ensure that sugar estate is tax compliant (All Taxes)
  10. Management of Finance team performance in conjunction with FIEO
  11. Interaction with Heads of Department on financial matters

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • ACCA, or CPA or equivalent qualifications
  • Any further academic achievements will be advantageous 
WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience as Finance Manager at similar sized operation for at least four years
