JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT:
In charge of all financial & management accounting as well as budget process at Sugar Estate, including role as super-user on finance systems.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Prepare monthly management and quarterly statutory accounts
- Prepare yearly final figures to be submitted to auditors and coordinate year end external audit of all entities under the Sugar Estate
- Organizing and coordinating all internal audits within the finance department
- Prepare and coordinate all budget cycles
- Act as super user of finance systems (reporting, budgeting and ERP) ensuring system health and optimum usage by other users, including development or improvements of finance systems.
- Ensure daily smooth running of all activities of the department/section
- Ensure strong financial management oversight through regular monitoring and improvement of internal finance controls.
- Responsibility of cash and balance sheet management in conjunction with FIEO.
- Ensure that sugar estate is tax compliant (All Taxes)
- Management of Finance team performance in conjunction with FIEO
- Interaction with Heads of Department on financial matters
- ACCA, or CPA or equivalent qualifications
- Any further academic achievements will be advantageous
- Experience as Finance Manager at similar sized operation for at least four years
